Tamar Beer
Founder & Director of Programming

Tamar Beer Horowitz founded Bnot Sinai in 2018, early on in her college career, in order to fulfill her dream of spreading batei midrash for women to her community. Tamar received her B.A. from Yeshiva University: Stern College for Women, with a major in Jewish Studies and a minor in English Literature. She is a current M.A. student at Yeshiva University's GPATS (Graduate Program for Advanced Talmudic Studies) and Azrieli Graduate School for Education. Tamar is passionate about educational methodology, curriculum development, and offering quality Jewish education and meaningful Torah programming to children, teens, and adults. She enjoys giving shiurim in various communities, and plans to work in chinuch when she finishes her degrees. Tamar grew up in West Hempstead and attended Midreshet Shalhevet high school. She spent a year and a half in Midreshet Lindenbaum seminary before attending college, and she now lives in Washington Heights.
